Unsurpassed Statistics and Reporting

No other email marketing tool gives you this level of access to information about how readers reacted to each of your emails. Beyond standard Bounce, Open, Clickthrough, and Unsubscribe statistics for a particular mailing, the webMAD Email Marketing Manager tells you exactly what your readers clicked, and when. You can find this out for individual mailings, entire mailing lists, all sends of a particular message, and all messages to a particular contact, for any date range you choose. Even better, you can drill down from any bar in the graph to view a list of contacts matching that criteria, and the date and time they opened, clicked, or unsubscribed, as well as the link they clicked. This is invaluable in determining reader interest for follow up marketing.

Quickly Add Contact Forms

From quick newsletter signups to extended contact forms, you can point and click to create select which fields you want in your form. Select required fields, and whether you'd like to show checkboxes for mailing list subscription. The system then generates html for you to paste into your page, and format as you desire. You can also select a message to serve as a staff notification, giving you immediate access to new signups in the format you choose. Finally, you can select an automatic thank you message, including merge fields, to immediately thank the contact (e.g. "Thanks, Liz, welcome to our newsletter...")

Automatic Newsletter Archive Generation

When you use the automatic archive feature, there's no need to worry about updating your website with your latest newsletter and changing all the links to match. The software will automatically display a list of emails with a link to the archived newsletter, sorted by date and categorized according to different newsletter types if you wish. The system will also automatically generate an appropriate link to the website archive and place it in the text-only version of your emails, so that users who don't accept html email can still click through to view your newsletter properly.

Flexible Mailing List Subscribe and Unsubscribe

The software manages two types of mailing lists. One is the explicit-subscribe list. This means that when users fill out a contact form on your website, you can offer them the option to subscribe to one or more mailing lists. Those who check a particular box to select that list have "explicitly" subscribed, and the system will remember that they are on the list until they unsubscribe, regardless of what changes are made to their contact information. The other type is the query-list. You can point and click to define mailing lists that send to all users in a particular set of categories, for example. Mailings sent to that list will go to all users who meet those criteria at the time the mailing is sent. Both types of list respect the automatically generated unsubscribe links, which give users the ability to opt out of mailings.

Easy Import / Export

In addition to gathering contacts in via signup forms on your website, you can import contacts into your database en masse. The system imports the popular CSV format, which lets you import from programs like Outlook, Act, and Excel. The software guides you through the import process, showing you a sample of contacts to be imported, and allowing you to choose which information you want. You can then apply a flag to the imported contacts to help you find them or send a mailing to them later. Exporting is equally easy, with the software guiding you through selecting which of your mailing lists you wish to export, and which information from that mailing list.

Click Response Statistics

A great way to gather information from your users is to include responses to questions as links in your email, such as "Yes, I am interested in...", or "No, I do not have a need for...". You can then use the statistics and reporting feature to see how many of your contacts responded by clicking through on each option.
